Installing the Aevocam plug-in via HACS

Aevocam can be installed in Home Assistant using HACS (Home Assistant Community Store). This guide is for users who already have HACS set up or specifically want to use it.

Before you begin
- HACS website: https://www.hacs.xyz/
- If you still need to add HACS to your system, see the official guide
- Note: HACS targets advanced users. Our integration is open source and may later appear in Home Assistant Core once it completes the review process.
Installation (via HACS)
- Open HACS in Home Assistant.
- Add Aevocam as a custom repository (category: Integration).

See HACS docs: Custom repositories . - From HACS, search for Aevocam, install it, and then restart Home Assistant.
- In Home Assistant go to Settings → Devices & services → Add integration, search for Aevocam, and complete the setup.
Updating
Use HACS to update when a new version is available:
- Open HACS → Integrations → Aevocam.
- Click Update (or Reinstall if prompted) and Restart Home Assistant to load the new version.
Uninstalling
- In Home Assistant, remove any configured Aevocam entries from Settings → Devices & services (optional but recommended).
- In HACS → Integrations → Aevocam, choose Remove and restart Home Assistant.
