The Backstory Behind Aevocam

Why the name Aevocam?

Aevocam (pronounced eye-voh-cam) is derived from the word aevum, which is Latin for age, eon, or everlasting time. Rather apropos when you consider the purpose of this platform.

Our logo pays tribute to the time-spanning nature of the Aevocam platform, with nods to the ancient Greek key/meander symbol (the outer design element) and an irising camera aperture (the inner design element).

Aevocam was conceptualized in December 2025 as an intuitive and powerful cloud-based SaaS platform to help industries, businesses, and organizations build valuable visual archives using still images and timelapse photography.

• Jim Carnicelli is a software engineer with 30+ years of experience under his belt. He has a parallel passion for creating and nurturing strong online communities for his tech startups. He loves Indian food and long walks on the beach.
